What a scan can tell you
A scan can describe patterns visible in the submitted image and organize them into skincare-focused signals. It provides guidance based on what the camera captures at that moment—not a medical assessment of skin health.
What can change a result
- Lighting direction, brightness, shadows, and color temperature
- Camera quality, focus, lens cleanliness, distance, and angle
- Makeup, sunscreen, moisture, sweat, or recently applied products
- Facial expression and how much of the face is visible
- Temporary redness, dryness, irritation, or environmental conditions
How to make scans more consistent
- Use soft, even lighting and avoid strong shadows.
- Clean the camera lens and keep the image in focus.
- Use a similar position, distance, and time of day for comparisons.
- Follow the in-app capture guidance and keep your face unobstructed.
- Look at patterns across multiple scans rather than overinterpreting one score.
What Lora does not do
Lora does not diagnose conditions, determine whether a lesion is dangerous, prescribe treatment, or replace a dermatologist or other qualified clinician. It should not be used for emergencies or to delay professional care.
When to seek professional help
Contact a qualified professional for persistent pain or irritation, rapidly changing marks, signs of infection, severe reactions, concerning symptoms, or any issue that needs diagnosis or treatment. Seek urgent local care for an emergency.
